What a great little sushi spot! We were seated quickly by a very friendly staff. There were a ton of menu options as well as beverages. You just have to ask for a beer/wine menu. We ordered 4 rolls total and they came out fast! Everything was very delicious and prices were reasonable. I'd highly recommend if you want a local, friendly, atmospheric sushi joint.

I had never eaten here before. I decided to try it because it was the highest rated sushi place near my office. 4.9 on Google. The reviews are totally legit! Many places I go, out of 4 sushi rolls, 1 or 2 at best might be really good. The rest are ho hum. At Maru Sushi, all four rolls were exceptional in flavor and quality. The chef even went out of his way to make some off the menu hand rolls for me. The miso was very flavorful and robust. Not watered down and weak like at other places. The poke bowl had good flavor, but also had a diverse assortment of ingredients, making it much more than just a raw fish treat. I loved everything! Even the waitress was super kind and accommodating. I'm not sure what to get when I go back - because I will definitely be going back. Usually, I find one thing that's really good and stick with it. At Maru Sushi, everything was great! How can I choose any one item? If you're in the neighborhood, this is a must try place! You'll be hooked.

Food was excellent! Atmosphere is cozy! The miso soup and salad were on point and delicious. The dressing on the salad was superb! We ordered a Rainbow, Jenny, Crunch California, Alaska, Mt Fuji and a chefs special. All of them were super delicious and seemed fair for the price. The only thing holding back all 5 stars was the attentiveness of our server. We were the only ones in the restaurant and she was missing for a while when we needed water and to order. Would recommend for sure and our new spot to go!!

Decent sushi restaurant. The service is good and this place is so close to my house in Daybreak. The portion isn’t big so even we ordered a bunch of foods, we didn’t stuff ourselves fortunately. The flavors are good enough but my biggest complaint is the rice, it’s not sticky enough and kinda fall apart. Overall, I would come back without any hesitation if I want sushi quickly or if my friends ask me to go. Although, if I’m craving for sushi, this might not be the first place I think of (at least not at this moment—I give them benefit of a doubt since they have just barely opened)

This is a new little place close to where we shop, and we were excited to try it. We found out the owner used to be a chef at Tsunami, which we love! We tried the rainbow roll, bulgogi bowl and poke salad. Everything was so fresh and good- the poke had quite a kick for those who don’t like it too spicy, the bulgogi had great flavor and the roll was real good. It’s a small, sit-down, full-service restaurant, which we didn’t expect in a strip mall, but we were pleasantly surprised. We will definitely go back!

Family owned local spot. They are some of the nicest people I have met - the Husband and Wife of this location are in here everyday open to close. You can tell they care about their craft. The quality and service from them are exceptional. I lived in Japan and Korea for 4 years - and this place is as authentic as it gets! The sushi is reasonably priced, and the menu options are varied enough so that my 70+ year old mother who is extremely picky about food was able to find something to enjoy! From the bottom of my heart to the family that runs this business - thank you for bringing great vibes, and excellent food to Daybreak!

Maru is always 5 stars! We love this little neighborhood spot and the food is incredible. So fresh, so full of flavor and so tasty The restaurant is clean, fast and the service is great. I usually just the hamachi sashimi which is incredibly fresh, but we like their rolls as well. The owner Yong and Jeannie are so nice and always attentive to their guests. Definitely my go to spot for some sushi in South Jordan! We’ll be back again and again, thank you

Amazing service, quiet environment, small space. Perfect for singles and smaller parties. I sat at the bar, the chefs, the server and the food was top notch. Really great to have a place out here that is delicious and realistically priced, especially for a single female who eats alone. Thank you sushi MARU for a safe and delicious experience
